8’ 3” long
5” between eyes
17” width of head
19” length of head
9’6” and 9’8”
Diagonal length
The head is blond as is the top
of the back; the rest is varying degrees of dark brown.
It needs some repairs:
Both ears are balding
Front Left- paw missing one claw,
paw is attached to the bear, but the leather is broken, being held to the rest of the bear by the felt and other material
under the rug.
Front Right- paw missing 2 claws,
there are stumps of the claws where they should be.
Back left- missing all claws and
paw is attached to the bear, but the leather is broken, being held to the rest of the bear by the felt and other material
under the rug.
Back right- missing one claw,
stump of nail is where claw should be
There are 5 bald spots, all are
measured at the longest and widest parts:
10x4 4x2
9x2.5
7x4 5x3
There are also two places
where there are flaps of leather and hair over a bald spot, just needs to be glued down.
There are 3 patches of hair that came from the bear they measure: 12x
2.75 7x4 4.5x2
There is also some damage by the
tail area- the glue and hair is coming off somewhat.I don’t think that this would be a hard fix for a good taxidermist.
It was recently
appraised by a professional. It is valued at $1600, but make an offer. Look below for pictures.
I also have
a cinnamon colored black bear head, and a javalina head. See below for pictures.
